Pogos without frying

They can be prepared in just a few minutes and are a perfect alternative to store-bought pogos. Made from tortillas and simply cooked on a baking sheet, they are sure to satisfy young and old alike!

Freeze for three months.

  • Ingredients

    • 2 eggs
    • 12 small tortillas
    • 1 pack of 12 hot dog sausages or a veggie version to taste
    • ¼ cup (60 ml) olive oil
  • Preparation

    1. Preheat oven to 400°F.
    2. In a small bowl, beat the eggs.
    3. Using a brush, brush the tortillas with egg, on one side only.
    4. Place a sausage on the bottom of each tortilla and roll tightly. Secure with a toothpick if necessary.
    5. Cut both ends to remove excess tortillas.
    6. Place on a non-stick baking sheet and bake for 15 minutes or until the pogos are golden brown. Turn halfway through cooking.
    7. Remove from the oven, remove the toothpicks and insert a wooden stick into each pogo.
    8. Serve with your favorite condiments.

Notes and tips

Add 1 tsp (5 ml) of ketchup to each sausage before rolling the pogo.

Bonjour, l’huile d’olive n’apparait pas dans la préparation, est-ce normal? Pour ce qui de la saucisse, nous la plaçons du côté où le tortilla n’a pas été badigeonné, je suppose pour obtenir une belle coloration? Merci!
