Pocket pizzas

These delicious pockets filled with pizza sauce, mozzarella, pepperoni and colorful peppers will delight the whole family! Prepared and cooked in an air fryer until a perfect golden crust, they offer a quick and tasty homemade version of the classic pocket pizzas that kids love!

Freeze for three months.

  • Ingredients

    • 1 kg of pie dough
    • 1 beaten egg for glazing
    • ½ cup pizza sauce
    • ¾ cup shredded mozzarella cheese
    • 125g chopped pepperoni
    • ¼ red pepper, chopped
    • ¼ green pepper, chopped
  • Preparation

    1. Divide the ball of dough into 2.
    2. On a floured work surface, roll the dough to a thickness of about 2 to 3 mm.
    3. Using a cookie cutter of approximately 15 cm, cut out 14 circles.
    4. Divide the sauce, cheese, pepperoni and peppers in the center of each dough circle.
    5. Brush the edge of half of the circle with water and fold the dough over itself. Seal with a fork.
    6. Brush each pocket with beaten egg on top.
    7. Preheat the air fryer to 375F.
    8. Bake directly in the oiled air fryer basket for about 18 minutes at 375F or until the crust is golden brown.

      Please note that the time may vary depending on your type of air fryer. Reduce or extend the cooking time depending on the desired results.
