Pizza pide with beef and vegetables

Use up your leftover cooked vegetables with this pizza recipe that not only features vegetables, but also a tasty combination of ground beef and firm tofu, topped with grated cheese of course! A recipe your kids will surely be proud to contribute to and will surely devour with great pleasure!

Freeze for three months.

  • Ingredients

    • 30 ml (2 tbsp) olive oil
    • 900g (2 lb) pizza dough
    • 225g (1/2 lb) ground beef
    • 250 ml (1 cup) tomato sauce
    • ½ block of firm tofu, crumbled
    • 500 ml (2 cups) leftover chopped cooked vegetables
    • 375 ml (1½ cups) grated cheese
    • Salt and pepper from the mill
  • Preparation

    1. Preheat oven to 400F.
    2. In a skillet, heat the oil over medium-high heat and cook the crumbled tofu and ground beef for 5 minutes. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Crumble the beef well as it cooks.
    3. Add the sauce and chopped cooked vegetables and simmer over medium heat for 10 minutes.
    4. Roll out the dough into a large rectangle about ½ cm thick and cut into 6.
    5. Pinch the ends of the 6 doughs together to form a boat. Place on a large non-stick baking sheet or one covered with parchment paper.
    6. Top each boat with the beef mixture and sprinkle each pizza pie with ¼ cup (60 ml) of grated cheese.
    7. Bake for 20 minutes or until the pide pizzas are golden brown and the dough is cooked through.
