Apple Parmentier Gratin

Break out of your routine with this unusual potato gratin that hides delicious apples, all in a creamy mixture of mozzarella cheese, cream and prosciutto!

Freeze for three months.

  • Ingredients

    2 tbsp olive oil
    6 potatoes
    3 apples, peeled and thinly sliced
    Salt and pepper from the mill to taste
    1½ cups 15% cooking cream
    2 tbsp fresh oregano
    10 slices of chopped prosciutto
    1½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese

  • Preparation

    Preheat oven to 400F.
    Cook potatoes in microwave or oven until tender.
    Remove the peel and slice the potatoes about 1 cm thick.
    Brush 10 ramekins with oil and spread the potatoes in them.
    Add the apple slices, salt and pepper.
    Mix the cream and oregano and pour over the apples.
    Add the prosciutto and sprinkle with cheese.
    Bake for 15 minutes, or until cheese is lightly browned.
