Cabbage bowls

This bowl combining ground pork, carrots, mushrooms and of course cabbage will take you on a journey with its Asian flavors that will certainly please children and adults alike!

Freeze for three months.

  • Ingredients

    • 30 ml (2 tbsp) olive oil
    • 1 lb (450g) ground pork
    • 1 punnet of coffee mushrooms, thinly sliced
    • 2 green onions, chopped
    • 2 cloves garlic, chopped
    • 500 ml (2 cups) green cabbage, shredded
    • 1 medium carrot (about 1 cup), grated
    • 30 ml (2 tbsp) soy sauce
    • 30 ml (2 tbsp) brown sugar
    • 30 ml (2 tbsp) rice vinegar
    • Salt and pepper from the mill
  • Preparation

    1. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat and cook the pork for 5 minutes, making sure to crumble the meat well. Set aside.
    2. In the same pan, reserving the pork juices, cook the mushrooms, green onions and garlic for 3 minutes.
    3. Add pork, cabbage, carrot, soy sauce, brown sugar and vinegar.
    4. Cook for 5 minutes or until cabbage and carrot are tender. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
    5. Spoon into bowls and serve.

Add 30 ml (2 tbsp oil) of toasted sesame when serving.
