Big mac n' cheese
Ingredients
- 2 tbsp. olive oil
- 450g ground beef
- 1 chopped yellow onion
- 450g macaroni
- 1 cup tomato sauce
- 1 cup mayonnaise
- ½ cup relish
- 1 liter of cold water
- 1 C. dry mustard
- 1 C. smoked paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 cups grated yellow cheddar cheese
Preparation
- In a large nonstick saucepan, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat and cook the beef and onion for 5 minutes. Crumble the beef well while cooking.
- Add all the ingredients except the cheese and bring to a boil.
- Cook over medium heat, stirring often, for 14 minutes or until pasta is al dente. Add the cheese and cook again for 1 minute.
For adventurers:
Garnish with chopped dill pickles just before serving.
