Childhood Memories: Tips and Tricks to Manage Them Effectively

If you too are overwhelmed with your kids' crafts and school souvenirs, discover Miss Tidy Up's valuable advice here!

The many works of art

  • Use a plastic bin , where you will slide hanging folders identified by each of the years of your child's school career.
  • Ideally, keep only five to seven creations per year; choose those that are most representative and which, of course, can be physically slipped into the bin.
  • Do you like some creations, but the number far exceeds the capacity of the box? Take pictures of them and drag them into the bin or simply keep them on your computer.
  • Adopt the practice of the transition bin : put in all the works of art created by your children over the days and, every two months or so, sort through the different creations and select those that you keep in the official memory bin.
  • Feel free to add to this bin school reports, certificates of merit and class photos , neatly classified by school year!

Other souvenir items

  • Store baby clothes or other bulky items that you want to keep as souvenirs in airtight plastic containers ; ideally, use one for each child.
  • Make sure to store these bins in a well-ventilated and dry place , so as to ensure the optimal preservation of these precious memories.
  • Ideally, choose a bin with a maximum size of 40 or 50 litres , so as not to accumulate too many objects unnecessarily.
